What is Unique About PHC's Classes?

When you choose to work with Premier Homeschool Consultants you have a unique assortment of classes to choose from.  PHC specializes in teaching innovative classes and personalizing materials to each individual student or small group.  We do teach classes in all traditional areas such as “math” or “writing”, but we especially enjoy teaching classes that are relevant to students’ lives and interests. We firmly believe that a child who is interested in content matter is more likely to learn and see the value of education.  

The following classes can be adapted to any age level except where ages are noted:

• Math Discovery - finding math in nature and learning math "tricks"
• TMI (Total Math Ingenuity) - basic skills review

• College Writing Preparation (ages 16 and up)
• “Did I Say That Right?” A Grammar Class
• Creative Writing (Fiction, Nonfiction, or Poetry)
• Persuasive Writing

Literature

• Mythology (Greek, Native American, or Japanese)
• Understanding Culture Through Literature
• Dino Reads (ages 3-7)
• Creature Literature (Zombies, Vampires, or Werewolves) - (ages 14 and up)
• British Literature (ages 14 and up)
• American Literature (ages 14 and up)

Science

• Forensic Science
• Physics in Our World
• World Biomes ( rainforest, grassland, desert, tundra, ocean, temperate forest, savanna)
• Nature Study - training the brain to observe nature
• Astronomy

Social Studies

• Our World Now - current events and media literacy
• Seeing Propaganda (WWII, American Government, etc.)
• Sociology (ages 14 and up)
• History Through the Decades (90s, 80s, 70s)
